Have went to see a job for a friend of a friend who had polish workman in and done all sorts.
I have seen on alot of the existing sockets they have fed 2-3 spurs from them. I advised them that this is not allowed but as floors wall ect are all finished it would be hard to run cables. Could the fuse be lowered from 32amp to 20amp? Zs is not too high, rcd fitted.
cheers

"Both perfectly compliant, both then and now, but not perhaps the best methods of wiring a RFC !! ...lol!!"

????????

Engy, can you explain to an idiot like me how that complies.

Stands well back from lappytoppy and prepares to made an idiot of.

Easier to ask why it wouldn't comply mate!!

The first example is exactly what Lenny was stating.
The second example, is that these days the JB's would need to be MF JBs, but that's about the only difference i can think of!!!

Find anything that would preclude these wiring methods of a RFC in the Reg's, ....i don't think you will!! They both comply with the fundamental requirements of ring circuits....

bs 7671 requires that the installed load is distributed around the ring such that no part of the cable exceeds its capacity ,so 3 spurs from one point is a big no no.
