Guys as the title says I am pricing to repair some 12v spotlights so a tranny was ÂŁ5 if you bought 5 now it ÂŁ8.40 for the same on 50 watt aluminium reflectors were ÂŁ6.64 now they ar ÂŁ11 did I miss something here ?

there prices do fluctuate if i have to buy down lighters appart from ~Halers the only ones ill buy now are GU10 from click scholmore cracking lights and reasonably priced , i have read some where that the 5.3's will be discontinued in the next couple of years

As a general rule of thumb. The nearer it gets to a bank holiday the cheaper their stuff becomes. Then as they move way from the bank holiday the price goes up again.

got bought over by a big shed did they not?

No B&Q have always owned Screwflux the thing is i do electrical repairs for rentals so I buy transformers and lamps a lot but this is a first lamd have jumped 70% and the transformers by 35% so to me this is no fluctuation ie 10% either way on a bank holiday mmmmmmmmm

Might be an artificial attempted to push LED lighting by pushing up the price of halogen lighting. Making the LED’s more appealing to the punters.

well 20 years ago would not go past mk now I bought a pack of 5 pendants and had problems with the terminal

I was always a big MK user and supporter of their quality products, however they are getting some poor comments of late ( aren't they all)

My concern is with their consumer units , they used to be robust and upmarket looking, they are now flimsy and cheap looking, sort of bottom of the pile sector, shame really,a good name which is sinking quickly
