whats my qaulifications ???

took my electrical exams way back in 1973.....all the info on the certs just say i have completed and passed " electrical installation work course B " does any one have any idea what the modern day equivalent is to this. i did contact C & G but they wanted £34.00 to tell me, im out of work at the moment so dont want to part with what little money i have, appreciate any help

Hi oldsparkie, if we are all "coming out" then I too did the Installation work course A, B and C in the mid 1970s, then the 16th edition and finally the 17th edition.

How many can remember oil filled resistance starting dc motors or how to make Pyro ends off.Or bending conduit with a long length of wood with a hole in it.Crawling along ladder racking pulling cables in 60 foot up in the air,tape measures with only feet and inches on them.

rocket ron you got me almost nostalgic there for the old days, although the cable pulls were always left to weekend and "job and knock". Amazing how fast a cable can be pulled in on a saturday morning!!!
