Has the cable been ruptured accidentally or are you intending to use two lengths that you have available to you. How and where will the cable be installed and what type of environment.
thank you for replys on joining 25mm cable. the cable is single core thermosetting 70 degrees same as meter tails and it has got damaged want to mend rather than replace all of cable. i am able to pull a little slack. what method would you recommend. If i use crimps would it effect the amp rating of the cable.

thanks for reply would using copper tube crimps effect the amp rating of the cable i have not used crimps on this size cable before and where not sure if would be okay thanks

Rumrunners solutions will do the trick or, as suggested previously an insulated Henley block could be used. Whatever solution you decide upon I would recommend that, if you can, you secure each side of the point of the connection as where you can pull through some slack you are likely to get some "pull back" over a period of time and securing the joint in this manner will act as a strain relief on the actual joint.
the best way(not the quickest) is a weak back ferrule ,tools needed blow torch ,materials tinmans solder ,flux ,heat shrink,next question-how old am i
