Can anyone please tell me what this Electrical Symbol represents?

Confused sorry but which symbol do you want to identify .........thinks Tel has done my head in lol, One is a 4 pole 40A mcb thers another which is a solar panel then theres the ones with the written descriptions ?

Some sort of protective device? with indication? did someone mention RCD? most circuit diagrams give you an indication of what equipment is attached etc how do you know what you are wiring.
Sorry more questions than answers!!

Not a problem Mate, they're only the same questions I've got, and the only one I can answer is that there is no equipment shown connected to this device.

There is an earth conductor connecting to the Met and then to the earth rod.

Hi Mayfair,

I want to know what is the symbol in post#1(hand drawn by me) and the one on the left in post 12.
We don't know yet, you may be the Man!, but we've had a good laugh trying to find out!

absolutely dead mate. done a call out this morning. lady having a lunch party, plugged in a hostess trolley that's older than me. tripped RCD. didn't even have to get my tools out. got a couple of PIRs and some shop lighting next week. anyway, i've got a stinking cold so it's soon to bed with a bottle of scotland's finest.

No its not a new build but it is a fairly substantial addition to an existing house.

Stroking my chin now, can't remember if solar has been mentioned or not, that could explain it couldn't it?

Im clueless when it comes to all this green stuff, There is a unit that lets the client sell the surpless energy back to the supplier it could be that thingy majig, All new builds have to have solar in them now in this area. Is it ticking is my only knowledge of bombs

When you say 'solar' Mayfair, do you mean the hot water panels or the other kind that supplies electricity?
Don't know much about the PV side,
