Just starting off and was wondering what all you old timers use the most in your tool bag thoughout the day ?

Not an old timer really, but have two particular offerings - voltstick and a 20cm prybar (I find invaluable for lifting boards, removing nails, loosening back boxes etc etc)

My Superrod cable access kit. I love every difficult route now as they seem to laugh in the face of defeat. Best ÂŁ200 i have ever invested.

lol i should have taken a picture of the tools in my van b4 posting as i have 2 sets of super rods they are one of the best things i have and save us so mucg time when we fish the cctv cables from one end of the tower to another my top yellow section thou could do with replaceing plus i have lost the 2 top brass bullets

ÂŁ200:eek: are your rods made of gold??? my set only cost me ÂŁ15.

Not as grand as yours granted, but thats a good wedge for rods mate.

lol lenny i had the cheap blue rods from city electrical factors and they shattered in like 2 months plus all the brass screwjoints snapped off the super rods have been with me a year and are still top notch i paid < sorry my boss paid 42 quid for the med set great kit i got the l e d light attachment super stuff

I think the top of the range set is about ÂŁ100.

Must admit, they are one fantastic bit of kit.

Never leave home without them.

CRMX - The Mega Set
The Mega Set is the ultimate Cable Rod System, offering 5 variants of flexibility. 16 m overall rod length including all flexibilities and essential items from the super-flex and specialised rod ranges mean very few working areas are inaccessible. The Super Grip pair 6-15mm O/D allows you to grip cable from the outside - the harder you pull, the tighter the grip becomes under tension.

these are the best ones ÂŁ120

Bought all the supergrip attachments and extra set of bendy rods, couple of the led lights. The glider attachment is great for suspended celings and when your using the hook the glider attachment wont let go! I bought 2 sets so i had 2 tubes to store them in as i work all over the country. You split them half in 1 tube half in the other, my lads loose and forget everything least only one set is lost.
