Discuss Where to connect power cord to induction single phase motor 240v in the Australia area at ElectriciansForums.net
It probably already runs clockwise, would just like to know how to wire it. OK...see what i can do.... Taking shots from my phone. Can you post a clearer picture, that is a bit blurry.
include the terminal links.
whoops, i think the bottom line of the paper should be U3 U1You got me there?
That's good i suppose, but 110v confuses me, i thought it was a 240v motor. so where would i wire the power supply to or the power cord?Yeah the second pic is clearer. I would say that is connected clockwise 110v.
It is a motor which can be powered from 110 or 220v depending on how the terminal links are connected. What voltage are you applying, 240v?
Online it says standard voltage in oz is 230 but 220v machine can be used?i guess it must be 240v from the power of my house?
OK, that must be the third diagram under the circle (or CW) with the plus inside it.Yeah is should be okay on 230v but it will spin slightly faster. You need to remove the links and reconnect as per the third diagram on the top. Post a pic when done and I will tell you where to connect the 230v.
U3, Z2 and U2 linked. Then U1 and Z1 linked.
OK, that must be the third diagram under the circle (or CW) with the plus inside it.
on Z2 there is a yellow and red wire mated. The mains goes to U4 and either U1 or Z1 doesn't matter which way around. Is there an earth terminal.
Does Z2 still have its yellow wire connected with the red.
I don't see a separate earth terminal, and wondered about that.on Z2 there is a yellow and red wire mated.
I guess the earth wire on the power cord (brown?) will need to be screwed on to the base plate where the motor is bolted on?It is going to need an earth connection.
