Hi. Don't know if anyone can help but I'm stuck and I thought I may get ideas from this forum. Was thinking of going on a 4 week, level 2 course. However, not sure if it offers much hands on experience . New to electrics but keen to learn and change career . I'm a woman but I think that's an advantage. But where do I go from there ? Finding experience as a electricians mate is hard as they all want experience . Want something I can do for more than 6 months as I eventually want to start out on my own .

Thank you for responding . I've tried gumtree but with no luck . I think the competition in London makes it difficult. Have spoken with the NICEIC and they've advised me to do the level 2 course then train with them . I just want to make sure that I get a lot of practical skills. Don't think I (right now ) want to go the commercial route yet, want to get a foot in the door . Plus it's not a cheap course. Do you happen to know of any wholesalers in London? I've been looking for advice and further information for months:cry:

Just search electrical wholesalers in your area and confetti them with a notice/advertisement for whatever you want to do. So just google it no? then get around to post your ad. Put it next to electricians ads. Put notice in supermarkets. You may have to volunteer, but sometimes you can get pay at a low rate.
