Discuss Why do test equipment suppliers use the xxth edition to plug their stuff in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net
They plug it as the 18th edition testers to make money from the uninformed. There is no such thing as an 18th edition tester. The Regs are for installation requirements only
The standards for test meters are BS 61010 and BS 61326 and other specific standards but NEVER BS7671
I've got an out-of-cal 17th Fluke mft going spare.

Help me buy my 18th book!
More than likely won't know what the testers are.I have an old Fluke Multi predating the 14th Edition timeline, a Megger Insulation and Continuity tester equally aged, a Clare PAT tester and an AVO 8 multimeter predating the Flood and I recently had them calibration tested and they ALL passed and have calibration certificates.
I'd like to have them in my car boot when I next get a site visit from the NIC.
Mine is 19th ready.
Never said it was 19th Amd1.So it does mandatory AFDD simulation tests and doesn't present a 'Save' option until said tests have been completed?
