Why can't people stick with supportive comments and ask for clarity if they are unsure about the post's meaning. Is it asking too much for them to stay in context with positive feedback instead of uninformed ridicule?

Oh well there goes the thread again

If you answer the questions on what thread you are talking about then maybe the thread will stay on track more mate or you could just ignore them and it may come across as a rant about nothing..

I had a nice day to day I went to the shops and got a nice bit of fish to cook for the wife, when I got home and told her, she said I hate fish and you now that put it in the bin and get me a McDonald’s, so I ask her what she wants and she said cod and chips, I said you can not get cod and chips for McDonald’s and I have fish that I can cook for you and will make chips to go with it, she said what fish you got? I said fish fingers, she said I hate fish fingers, so we had Chinese instead.
?

Does seem to me that in many threads more time is spent questioning the OP’s qualifications than answering the query.

I understand that some members don’t want to help potential customers to do the work themselves.

My experience, is that when I explain to someone who isn’t competent how to do something, they end up asking me to do it.

Could be that my explanation is not very clear, or it could be that they think it’s far too complicated for them and I seem helpful so they ask me to do it?

Hum ..... A lot of it comes down tho ill thought out, badly worded, incomplete threads, where the op won't or can't answer direct questions .....

One of yours today, matches this description precisely
have I missed some thing .just read it .peaple in glass houses should not throw stones .;)

Well, thank you all for the way you helped me demonstrate the point I made in the beginning

I'm glad you feel vindicated in your post.
I'm happy that you cleared everything up....
