I've noticed the younger ones are changing the terminology of things throughout the building trade, I just wondered if the same thing is happening throughout the electrical world?

Maybe i am considered a dinosaur but in general i am pretty open to anyone's beliefs.

I don't care what religion you are as long as you don't force it on me.
I will do my best to be respectful of other peoples beliefs but draw the line when people start telling me what I can and cant do.

I have no interest in weather you are male, female, any gender you decide to be at that moment in time (unless I would like to mate with you)
your sexual orientation is of no concern to me unless the (as above applies)

but I do worry a little about the people who get so wound up about pro-nouns and suggest that i should not assume "for instance"

that the big hairy tattooed biker would prefer to be addressed as he or him and i should consider or possibly ask if they prefer she and her. (sometimes this sort of question may be considered a form of suicide!!)

equally the high heeled low cleavage blond that "in my dreams" i try to chat up, might not appreciate me asking if they prefer to be addressed as he, him, or charming .
instead of she, her and drop dead gorgeous.

Boolean logic is binary zeros and ones….

But there is also “fuzzy” logic… that sounds better.

Maybe we should call them “fuzzy gendered”?
quantum computers have more than 2 states as well but that is well above my level of understanding!!

Its now called a chalk board!
or of course the alternative now days is the white board "hmmm, how is that better than the blackboard?"
but thankfully technology has prevailed and the schools that can afford to be totally PC can educate the children.
not with BLACKboards
not with WHITEboards
but with interactive presentation devices.

now isn't that better for all?!!

But can they be totally PC if the use Apple devices as well

Read somewhere this morning that Star Wars are removing the "light" and "dark" sides of the force.
Will Soy sauce will be next
Is there something i can get offended for just because i am left-handed?
As a left hander myself when you look at the amount of things made that only really suit right handers there is a lot to go at or if you want the left handed version you pay more for it

Had someone a while ago trying to wind me up about a left handed saw another guy onsite took the bait when my response was you can get them and I have one at home in my unusual tools collection

Talking about terminologies in the electrical industry it has changed quite a bit, CPC for earth conductor, distribution circuit for sub main, socket for coupler, RFC for ring main, that's just off the top of me head. However it's still jargon and any experienced sparkie will understand.

My guess is an earth to N fault in the damaged light fitting. This will become a problem when other devices draw large currents.
