I am planning to change my house's 20 years old DB to a new DB like in the website below:

http://www.electrolesk.com/Assets/db 3 ph web1.jpg

However, I am planning to use Hager 63A 10kA 3 pole MCB (model is: NC363A) instead of MCCB at the incoming. In addition, I plan to add in Hager Combined Over & Under Voltage Auxiliary, (model is: MZ214) and Hager type 2 SPD (model is:SPN465R).

Please advise on how to wire in both MZ214 and SPN465R in the DB.

Thank you very much.

Just looked at his calculations for no' of flourescent lights on a circuit... it would seem that in Malaysia induction isn't a concern to design .... seriously a very misguided ill educated site - full of errors some very basic and i would suggest the OP remove the site of the internet as it clearly gives in some cases worrying information....

This is no way a personal attack on the OP more a helpful warning that his website which even highlights England methods has not seen the 17th edition and he really needs to learn the basics on inductive load calcs.... i didn't know whether to laugh or just sit gobsmacked at the lack of understanding the site author has about a subject he probably thinks he has a good grasp of!!!
let him put a D curve in dark....

it`l hold wont it....

That's two of them, But look at method #3 now that's a real classic arrangement, you'll find at least another 2 no, no's here alone!!...lol!! Even Eng Khan states this is a dangerous method in it's commentary, which beggars belief, in as to why he then shows the numpties out there how to connect such a dangerous set-up??

This is one of the questions asked on the comments page; " if i along in jungle there are pass electric transmission line how can i guess that which side the current is traveling?"

Any answers on a postcard please.

As a rule we are happy to help ... but looking at your website and seeing your advice as well as relating it to UK regulations where in fact you show a parrot fashion understanding of electrical basics in that it seems to be copied but not understood..

You show incorrect formula and give dangerous advice, your site is full of flaws of which some will put lives and property at risk... I don't know what the Electrical Regulations are in Pakistan but if your website is anything to go by they are woefully inadequate with respect to our own.

I would disassociate your site immediately with the English regulations and think twice about leaving it up I mean you have a pothole understanding of this field and this can be a dangerous thing... our mocking aside try reading the comments we have posted and you'll see how dangerous your apparently helpful website is....

With regards to my comment its a fundamental basic knowledge at 1st yr student level on how to calculate loads of fluorescent fittings and you get even this advice wrong which could see circuits overloaded and pose potential fire hazards...

I truthfully believe your oblivious to the actually lack of understanding you have and possibly believe you are providing a service but its your misunderstanding and websites like yours that pose a danger in this world... this is why you have been mocked - this isn't an attack because you are a new member or the initial post you did its a humorous take on your website but behind the humour is a serious point we are trying to get across....

This is Electrician forum...not a joking party... Be serious and help others. Why you guys try to disappoint new members?

I don't think you'll find myself or others joking here Mr Khan. The fact of the matter is, that those diagrams (created it seems by yourself) showing interconnection of a generator into a main fed supply system are bloody dangerous and should be removed forthwith!! Your method #3 is a complete joke, among other things the RCD being rendered totally useless!!

God help any electrical utility worker, working up stream, if some fool inadvertently or otherwise, forgets to flip the the main isolator to the off position.... I wonder who would be held responsible if that worker was killed or injured.

The ONLY way to integrate a generator into any of those schemes shown, would be via an interlocked manual or automatic transfer switch. Anything else is pure lunacy which i'm pretty sure wouldn't comply with Pakistan's regulations either, which is i believe loosely based on older UK regulations...

I haven't really looked at the other sections of you're website, this one was enough for me, so i can't honestly comment on that content.

not a joking party...

Oh bugger....I misread.

So it's not a jo king party.......oh well.......cake anybody?
