Hiya!
Wondered if anybody could help? I have a single oven to fit which is 2.9Kw and a induction hob which is 8Kw. currently i have a seperate 32A supply which is used for the old cooker. I was going to use the exsisting 32A supply to wire the induction hob in and then was going to use a switched FCU spur from the ring main to supply the single oven. Is this allowed?

Thanks

i would not fit a 2.9kW load on the ring final. separate radial in 2.5mm on 16A MCB . or 4mm radial on 32A MCB to allow for a bigger load in the future.

with diversity, you are looking at a total load of 23A ( 28A if a socket outlet incorporated), so a 32A circuit, 6mm cable would suffice for both appliances.
