Hello all.
I would like to wire 3 security lights on the same radial 6A circuit.
The first and the last lights will have sensors, the middle one does not need a sensor.
I would like all three to light when motion is detected.
If I loop in and out of all three will I achieve this?
If i need to do anything differently, some advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Gerry

Thanks Mark,
I was going to use 2 core and earth flex
So, I get power from an existing rose, run flex to the first light (with sensor) then onto the second light(no sensor) and then onto the third(with sensor).
No actual switches involved.
If I am way off track could you explain why!

Thanks again,Gerry

For the extra price you might as well make all 3 motion sensors but make sure the type of fitting you get has an auxiliary facilty so it can switch other fittings, if not they will only be able to switch the rating of the fitting and not any others.

Just wire a three core and earth between them all and have the two sensor lights with their outputs linked with the third core along with the live for the middle light, then you'll have the lights all coming on together when either of the two sensor lights are activated.

That will work fine as long as the Pirs use relay switching, some don't.

As long as the existing wiring is approved for outdoor use and everything is working as planned then there is no need to replace the wiring.
