It seems to happen to me all the time, including last Tuesday. Where I can, I get the house owner to arrange for the plumber to move his pipes as it will put the lighting positions out.
Does my head in.
Sames as making a hole in brickwork for a ton of cables, only for the plumber to use the same hole with his hot and cold plus feed and return intermingled with my cables. Surely plumbers must sit through similar training as regards separation of services and main protective bonding, as this seems to get removed too on occasions.
Rant over, its the weekend and time for my alcoholic medication.

Malarky indeed! I got a bit stroppy with the "electricians" brought in by the "builder" who built my house extension, and eventually sacked them. Only when I had to sort the hall floor prior to the carpet fitter arriving did I get a look under the floor, to find the electricians had wrapped a cable on the socket rfc around an uninsulated copper pipe feeding the first radiator on the ch system...frankly, that was deliberate, designed to cause havoc, I expect, but somewhat dangerous too.
To clarify, it was wrapped round and round and round...no accident.
Naturally I was worried about the other works they had done...family room downlighters pushed up into 6" insulation, no protection whatsoever...
as for the plumbers, yes they used every opportunity to "combine
services" with the electricians...no idea of separation of services, just simply use what you can to save time and effort.
OK, I know better now, but even then, 15 years ago, I could see something was wrong...maybe even those of a serious DIY nature would have had no clue, but I deem it criminal. Oh...I could go on...
but for your sanity, I won't!

No! I too am still bearing a grudge! Lol! But then, I am an old bgr, and it's harder to move on at my age :)
old??what do you call old??? age is just a number. i am number 71, going on 19.

See, 2005. I was probably suffering from my first dose of Part P poisoning.
