Discuss Work Trousers - What you using? in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

I always wear dickies eisenhower multi pocket trousers

I used to swear by them, bought two pairs at ÂŁ28 each and they lasted me 2 years, but every pair i've had since then i have had problems with, and the fit has never been quite the same

the belt straps tear or the zipper gets stuck.

I do like that they have a polyster material over the kneepads and at the bottom of the leg, this adds to their life expectancy loads. but i'm going for a pair of scruffs next

Our top brand is Scruffs with a range for most budgets from worker trousers upto pro trousers,
we have found these to be hard enough to withstand the everyday site work wear and tear.
The range of footwear is good to.
Im quite surprised nobody here has used them.

Mate at work has a pair of Scruffs boots, he likes them a lot. Not sure how well they last, as he hasnt had them long.

Next time you are buying trousers, give the Scruffs a whirl they are good.
We sell other brands to but Scruffs go out the door above all the others.
Especially the latest range.

Snickers for me, I'm firmly on the bandwagon. Great fit, hard wearing, pockets in all the right places. Have tried different brands but no others come close for me

couldnt have said it better myself, even one of our directors when he comes out on site swears by snickers gear

I think if you try the Scruffs you will be as impressed with them as the Snickers.
The new pro range has full compliment of pockets and kneepad inserts.
Like i say we sell different brands (Dewalt, Scan) but the Scruffs are always in high demand above these.
Thing is once you found a make you are happy with why would you buy anything else, i personally used to use Scruffs when i was on site and so i have stuck to them and now sell them.
Jobman trousers are good, quite a few ÂŁÂŁ tho.

I believe they were part of the same company before, but i have not dealt with them to much as the price of them made them a bit out of the average persons wallet range. that said they are very good clothing.
Think i still got the Jobman catalogue somwhere will dig it out.

il search online and give them a try all up for saving a few ÂŁÂŁ ive currently got a tuff stuff? jacket nice n warm and was only about ÂŁ20

Think I've found the relationship between Jobman and Snickers. Jobman use to be a large sub contractor in the manufacturing of workwear for other brands and didn't operate under the name Jobman, they would make all the original Snickers stuff before Snickers were big enough to make their own stuff. They then Started making stuff with their own brand name Jobman.

Get yourself off to your local Elex Show this year. I went last year and all the manufacturers were there giving allsorts of discount and deals.

I got 2 pairs of Jobman work trousers, normal retail at ÂŁ59.99 a pair. at the show they were doing buy one for full price and a second pair for a tenner. Also came with free knee pads which are about a inch and a bit thick. After wearing them to death for nearly a year, both pairs of trousers and the pads are still as good as new.

Cheers..........Howard
