get a shock off a main earth that's disconnected from the cu in a tncs system when the main cu switch is off? Overheard someone at work talking about it today but never heard off it. (bear in mind I'm a beginner) :D
 
yep that's where you take the Ze reading

may have been static:D

you can get a shock off the bar alright when you pull the main earth-if there's a fault

only if thay is a fault as long you do safe isolation you be ok .. but you can get static of cables and floating earths that have voltage

A fault from the suppliers side? And concerning your earlier post why would you get a shock off bar if power is off? Maybe it was bar he got it from and not cable then.
