Not posted for a while. Van broken into, last time was a few years ago, and since then always taken my tools out at night.
They got in (Transit Connect) pushed it back from against the wall into the middle of the road, pulled the strong box out the side door and made off with it. The box was empty fortunately, the main problem is they have stuffed the ignition barrel so I can't get the key in. Hope the comp insurance will fix it, unbelievable what they will do.

Well that’s ----

Hopefully insurances cover the van damage and any missing tools.
Makes me think of carrying an empty drill box full of dog crap in the van.

There’s been a mini spate of opertunistic break ins local to me. Front doors, cars and vans. Suspect has always been disturbed and ran off.

Funny you should say that, I had a van broken into outside my house on a Sunday afternoon a few years ago, luckilly I take everything out of any value but they still took an old Milwaukee radio that someone gave us for free.

So my theory is if there arent any drills in the van then they will still take something, maybe my bench grinder or site light or something so I got one of my old drill boxes, put two bricks inside it and leave it in the van now.
