Rubbish but very expensive lights from several years ago, the LEDs were run so hard they got hot enough to melt the solder on the connecting wires. I had to replace the fittings several times, they gave out a horrible dim very blue white light. A right pain as the lights were on large heavy paintings. The lights were around £300 each IIRC.

On a farm, farm building roof collapsed years ago. The 2 circuits with fuses in were still in use. The next time I visited the farmer had connected a 3ph motor to the supply by wedging wires into 3 of the unused fuseways. The wiring in another location caught fire when a submain cable had a fault. IIRC the cartridge fuses in the 3ph switch fuse (which was just lying on on the floor) couldn't blow as they had been replaced with pieces of fencing wire, the supply tails, meter and cutout caught fire instead. The original wiring here was very neatly installed. Has a nice cast iron manual star delta starter on the grain mill, still in use.

At some point in history that was a nice job.

Kind of let itself go though...
