We installing this panel below on Monday in a petrol station. The swa is coming in the bottom so we need to cut out square and add paxlin plate to gland into as the petrol station is not connected to earth from submain, and on its own TT system..

Hi I=P/U,

This panel and it's fitting is almost certainly outside the scope of BS7671, and will more than likely have to be compliant with a totally different set of rules and regs, of which I am not privy to.

I assume there is someone working with you that IS experienced on PFS?

The test socket is for Ze and it's earth is connected to the main earth bar on the earth nest side.
When the earth bar link is removed only the Test socket earth is connected to the nest/s.

You should have access to the APEA Blue Book for Petrol Filling installations.

The guy with me has we petrol pump symbol on a card.. I'm just curious. And I know we have to drive in rods all round.. Interesting when you haven't been here before...

Is is paxlin plate just plastic...? The earth is only connected at supply side ....

It is certainly interesting, and way off of the usual beaten track, it would be good to see the outcome.

Yes the paxolin plate is just an insulated gland plate.

I'm assuming the cable will have to be cleated well to hold it in place anyway, as a stuffing gland ain't going to hold it tight like a SWA gland...

I assume said contractor is part of a Part P scheme (NICEIC, Napit, few others..) in which case complain to them. They'll investigate (in theory)...
