    Odd LED floodlight problem

No, there's nothing like that which would affect one and not the other. My only thought is that it could be something to do with inrush current, but I can't back it up with any facts! :)

    Odd LED floodlight problem

I'm pretty sure it's a relay as I think the PIR makes an audible click noise when it activates. I will double check though, thank you.

    Odd LED floodlight problem

The PIR is working as it should though, as is the 30W floodlight.

    Odd LED floodlight problem

A couple of months ago I installed two LED floodlights. One is 10W, the other is 30W. They are both connected to the same PIR and each light is no more than 400mm from the PIR. Everything works when installed, but within a few days the 10W floodlight stops working. I've replaced it four times...

    Switched Sockets Cheaper?

Likely to be due to volumes being sold with the unswitched being less common.

    Head Scratcher Time.

Did you test by using the plugtop lead on your tester? Could be plugtop and socket don't quite make contact as well as whatever appliance is normally plugged in there. Have you tested from the back of the offending sockets?

Figure of eight ring? The "ring" nearest the cu is sound, the rn in the other part of the figure of eight is incomplete. Try measuring r1, rn, r2 from behind the sockets where you're getting odd results.

    Anyone use click mode switches?

From the back, the modules look very similar to the old MEM Delta range. I presume that Scolmore bought the pattern from MEM/Eaton.

Calculate this. Just got this letter emailed to me...

If the meter has already been changed to a half hourly meter, you should be able to scroll through the different screens, one of which will be maximum demand. Consider any winter or seasonal loads that may increase the maximum demand from what has already been measured.

PME supply query (and bulk out the title)

It's likely to all belong to the DNO up-to and including the meter outside each flat. The Henley board at the intake would normally be sealed.

    TNCS High ZE at origin

You'd be best to go back to site and have a look. If you're unsure, take a few pictures and post them on here. Let us know the outcome either way.

Outdoor socket flush with the ground in the garden

The manufacturers instructions are likely to prohibit it. Also they normally require the accessory to be mounted vertically, not laid on its back.

    Check my wiring diagram

Looks good. The plumber will want the fused connection unit next to the boiler in case you get asked about that. Well done for taking the time to figure it out and draw it.

Electrician Jobs Switch for entire lighting circuit?

Sorry I'd missed the bit about 2 circuits! :)

Electrician Jobs Switch for entire lighting circuit?

Sorry, I missed the final paragraph of the OP which stated two circuits. I wouldn't put two circuits across a DP switch either! There could be advantages to having two separate switches so not all of the lights have to be isolated at once. It could be done with 2 grid switches on one plate.

Electrician Jobs Switch for entire lighting circuit?

Why use a contractor? A 20A DP switch would be sufficient.

Going self employed while still paye

You can be self employed and employed at the same time. I don't think it'll affect your PAYE tax code which is the only thing that your employer might notice if it changes.

New Consumer Unit Installation - L&N Reverse at the sockets

It is potentially dangerous and despite the pressing appointment it should have been rectified before the electrician left. Were all of the circuits (lights, immersion, cooker etc) tested? What did the tester look like that he used? We all have bad days, but I'm surprised that the problem is...
