    Did u disconnect cables out at cabinet connections only...leave both suplies powered on as normal...see if problem solves solves ...ie the lamp doesnt turn on now...if it does open the window...you know the rest

    Disconnect cable on bathroom cabinet(put in connectors)then switch see if prob.is sorted...sounds like interferance of ballast

    Sorry bout that just new :/...u have vaild points ...smoke alarms should be mandatory...just finished a house ...where incoming supplies were looped underground from house to house...the esb had to foot the bill for a new supply in the porch and fix the neighbours...didnt go down too well as...

    Well as i live in ireland...its up to the power supplier(esb)...to remove from under stairs to other location...at the expence of the supplier..fuse boards not allowed under stairs and to be no higher than 2.1 mts off g.f

    For instance god forbid there was a fire that started at the fuseboard and you had to escape the house at night...you be trapped upstairs...now if i had a option were 2 put it..it would not be there...just think there could be a better area than underneath an escape...just an opinion

    1 thing for sure...fuseboards under stairs is a no no...always think of worst case...i know its sad but i dont like installing them there...
