The practical in L2 should be pretty easy , the only thing that caused any issues with my class was the testing part, since we hadn't focused on that much during classes
So I'm a couple of months into this course and currently losing enthusiasm since this year seems mainly irrelevant and not remotely what I expected when I applied for these courses a couple of years ago.
We're currently doing a unit where the assignment is to write a full CV and covering letter...
I'm 29, live not far from Lakeside
passed BTEC National construction when I finished school, circumstances didn't match carrying it on and I lost a lot of interest in it,
went back to college 2 years ago finished Level 2 2365 in June, should be starting Level 3 September,
no real experience...
After some advise where to go from here, when we have the level 2 are we actually employable beyond the apprentice position? Or do we have to finish level 3 plus the others to be suitable?
Jobs seem to go from apprentice aged 16-25, to mate with level 3, 17th, experience and a card, with little...
You'd be amazed at what our college didn't/doesn't know, was one cock up after another
There's 2 courses? The 2 year 2365 one without employment or the 1 year with employment?
I assume he's confusing these, although they said when we started that we'd need employment or work in the field to...
Yeah, I looked it up afterwards, because he told one of the other students something changed, but the main purpose of the course seems to be so that people can actually get into the trade without having to find work.
I'm going to assume the tutor's just mixed up or something
Definitely removes a...

Grats on passing
What's the best thing for anyone who's passed the level 2 to do?
I don't work in the trade at all which I'm trying to change, but obviously it's not that easy lol
What sort of role would we even apply for now? every apprenticeship seems so involve getting level 2, plus I'm too...
This was mine, was mid April, feels a lot longer, probably because I had the 202 since then lol
We got 10 hours, 2 for fabrication 8 for everything else
Had weird issues on the day, the 90 degree bottom right had been moved by someone so at least 20 mins was wasted whilst it was discussed...
Finally, 2365 level 2 is done, after a massive panic for the 202, couple of bits of paperwork we need to sort, but all exams finished and passed.
Nice to have a couple of months with no stress until level 3, apart from updating CV and sending it to everyone remotely electrical related haha...
Googled a lot, from what I'm finding (in small amounts of information)
"the practical difficulties ofbonding all accessible extraneous conductive-parts" so I think that since there may be a difference in potential, and since it's temporary maybe something could happen to break the earth...
Just a follow up since I bought the CK SWA strippers, They're not massively quicker since it's not a long job in the first place, but they did tend to leave a more uniform tidy cut and I can see how it would be useful in spaces/angles where a hacksaw might be awkward
