I have always thought you would see a lot more metal conduit/trunking systems were most people not running in unnecessary cpc's. 25% less cable, smaller trunking/conduit runs etc. Then along comes mr. 'just in case' who decides to start speccing Cpc's in tube and it becomes un-cost effective...
Tails look like they're probably sheathed reds and blacks to be fair, we've always used them, (well browns and blues now).
Like you say though not even a leccy shower or cooker in sight so no need for a 100A switch.
Whats the betting theres no difference internally between an 80 and a 100...
IMO tails in cavity fine, In fact its even a recognised method, after all Outside flush meter boxes are set into the cavity?? must be thousands of house like this, many new builds included
This would be a stupid policy, wouldn't it? Downgrading all fuses, what about Granny using 7 storage heaters, a leccy shower, immersion htr. etc.? 60A vaporises and leaves her in the cold and complaining.
Some DNO's blanket fit 80A, western power being one example.
Others fit either 100A or...
not being nasty mate, but only a fool would 'check and certify' someone else's work and pass it off as their own. sounds like you need a larger TPN db, some 2x2 gAlv trunking, some steel conduit and a competent electrician to install it for you.
ahh those good old conscientious meter men hey? alwsays checking main switch sizes an that, just in case the fuse needs downgrading, sometimes they will even put in an extra socket for you ! :-)
I would disagree with you there,
Being that the bonding 'within 60mm' is a recommendation, I think the worst you could code the above scenario is an observation, In fact the worst you can code any effective bonding is an observation.
