G83 for sure. you may be able to use a 8000TL 3 phase inverter, depending on the voltage of your strings. I don't have my info to hand but i am sure i asked sma about putting 4kw across 3 phases with this inverter and they said it would be ok - may be worth looking into.
If it aint enough to kick start the inverter then there is nothing going to the generation meter, therefore no fit benefit. be careful about making claims like this without any hard evidence (i.e. seeing it for yourself). If you have seen it yourself, then we want to know what panels and...
Cheers Spitfire - just asked Alex to send some tech info on the bolt. it is loads cheaper than Ejot and if you have them in stock then that is even better.
Do you have to pilot this one, or is it self tapping?
Thanks Gavin, not sure what the measurement is yet as only had prelim meetings with the client.
We have some of the schuco left over from another project - would love to get rid of it but as we are on a sinusoidal (so i have learned today!) roof - on first thoughts, I wouldn't have thought...
just looking at a 50kW on a corrugated metal roof on a steel frame. It is crinkly tin, not trapezoidal, with some insulation sheeting underneath. The only fixings recommended so far are Schletter Fix E but they look fiddly to install and am yet to fins a uk supplier with some in stock.
Can...
Hey, you don't need to point that out to me and the last thing i would ever do is compromise quality and safety to make a quick buck and bu$@er off in a few months.
i know we do a quality job and have explained this is a number of ways to people, some realise this, but they tend to be of...
i'm gonna have to look at my prices again. it is getting very hard here to sell quality when customers are getting silly prices like this thrown at them left right and center. may put together a 'scare' pack of all the dodgy installations near us and demonstrate what we mean by top quality and...
I think GD is still gubbins and no doubt the goal posts will be moved again and again before any sort of launch.
But I have heard that optimists live longer, so I am taking the optamistic view that if the homeowner/business owner can still claim FITs with partial GD financing then it means...
True, but like i said I have heard talk that it may be included for GD, not specifically to meet the golden rule. If the talk is true then it may make it attractive for homeowners if a proportion of the cost is paid for by GD (subject to financing terms), and they still get the FIT. Not as good...
I don't know how true this is, but I have heard that there is talk that FITS may now come into play for Green Deal installs. Like I say, not sure how true it is, I heard it 3rd hand but the original source is someone close to a GD working group. Has anyone else heard anything similar?
Solarcity is correct, you will have to apply to the DNO for approval. The FIT rate of your existing shouldn't be affected but the new installation will only be eligible for the current rate.
When I enquired about adding to a customer's system I was told that both systems would be hooked up to...
Have you thought about storage solutions so you can use the electricity in the evening? There are a few on the market (Power Router/Sunbat etc) they are more expensive but as the price of electricity increases, the pay back period will become less!
Do you have to have an immersion heater with this option? i have a client who is wanting a 4kw system but his electric usage is low and has no immersion, so wants something to switch on an electric radiator when there is surplus generation.
