The hot tub is 32 amps, the heater is 3Kw, it has 85 jets and water line spot lights, the pumps are 2x 2HP and 1x 3HP.
the supplier demands its RCD protected and demands a rotary switch as that's where they will connect their wires up.
the main switch is a 100A, on RCD 2 there is only the heating and sockets used on this as cooker is gas, heating is only used in winter.
what I have is sockets on a B32, cooker B32, heating B6, this is all on RCD 2
The company supplying the tub has required the the supply is RCD protected and that there is a rotary switch local to the tub.
The tub is filled by tap so there aren't any pipe work to worry about, the Earth at the house is TT
I am wiring a hot tub, I've designed this circuit
What would you do? Looking for advice :)
I am am going to put 4x4 metal clad/boxes next to the CU's to terminate the earth an running the cores straight through into the CU's
To add I am going to have a 4x4 metal clad box next to the plastic CU's and feed the SWA into the CU an tail an earth from the SWA to the earth terminal in the CU.
would you use 2 core or 3 core and use the spare core as Earth?
So I'm doing wiring for a hot tub, I've designed a simple circuit
is there anything any one would change or do differently?
Want other people's advice or opinions :) the hot tub is 32amps
Main reason was because the main switch is 63amps, I know that means that's what the switch can handle not what SHOULD be fed before anyone jumps, I've got a 20amp mcb and a 6 amp so a 30 amp mcb from the house would do on 4mm if I'm not right correct me?
