I'm not playing into anyone's hands on here read it again mate, I've done my test and inspection in college, I don't need to test anyone else work but mine! I asked what's the recommended mcb to use not what I own or what I have knowledge of! Once I've installed the entire thing I'll run my dead tests then do a live test, I haven't asked anyone how to do tests! Getting right off topic.

The correct MCB to use is the one you selected after calculating the maximum demand after diversity and before calculating the size of the cable you used.

What method did you use to decide that 6mm cable was correct for your installation?

I know tests will determine what size to use from house and what cable to use.. It's the 63 amp main switch, the 6mm cable I chose was simply because I planned on using 63amp mcb ,

For what it's worth I'm gonna go 32a mcb with 4mm cable to shed saves all the sarcasm and I AM choosing 4mm because the circuits will never be in full demand... 2 spots and 2 double sockets

Its 2 meters from the house and about 7-10 meters from the CU

What for a new business unit? and what size cable are you planning on connecting to the 63 amp MCB?

Tests will not tell you what size cable or mcb to use, the calculations you do before installation will.

Assuming you are using SWA/hi tuff/NYYJ or similar cable which is suitable for outdoor use then there is no way that 6mm will be able to handle 63A.

You are clearly out of your depth here and should call on the services of an electrician before going any further with this.

Your submain cable needs to be correctly protected against damage through both overload and fault currents.

Main reason was because the main switch is 63amps, I know that means that's what the switch can handle not what SHOULD be fed before anyone jumps, I've got a 20amp mcb and a 6 amp so a 30 amp mcb from the house would do on 4mm if I'm not right correct me?
