    Should be fine on the wiring side (taking into account lv resistance/wiring size), but i'm not sure about regs. Being able to switch the 240 side is also advisable!

    Lighting circuits don't carry as much load as sockets, so a ring circuit would be a waste of wire in most installs.

    Total light wattage from all the lights (assume 60w if unknown), and output wattage of transformer? Also, make sure you use a dimming transformer on dimming light switch!
