    In the light ( no pun intended ) of what I've learned from this forum I intend to replace the junction box with a MF box as suggested.

    For me the readers digest manual is just a starting point. I'am not doing any major electrical work and nor would I attempt to design a ring or radial circuit and frankly I find lighting circuits a bit confusing. I can read the current wiring regulations and if i'am not sure get advice from...

    Opps, wish I hadn't put the picture up! Must admit that I've never heard of mf connection boxes so I've learned something. Cable is 1.5 twin core and earth. Junction box will be accessible when the en suite is taken out later on. Used a wiring diagram from my Readers Digest DIY manual.

    Probably all in a days work for a professional electrician but it had me scratching my head. I wanted to fit lighting into a room but there is an en suite on the floor above, as you can see I made a hole in the ceiling and worked from underneath.

    Camera bags can be handy for carrying tools about especially if they are fragile. I picked up a lovely one at a car boot a few years ago for ten quid, made of leather and canvas. Made by Billingham it lasted me a good few years until my collection of tools out grew it.

    Careful it can become addictive. As I said my favourite is the one with a hand tool insert, but the one's with drawers are handy for carrying a small drill with its charger and bits.
