Unfortunately everything seems to need the installation manual downloading from the internet, or setting up via an app, so it would likely be difficult. I used a digital camera for years even when out work phones started having cameras built in as early models were not good, lacked a flash etc...
A 12V led power supply with a wattage rating ≥ the total load of the LED lamps is needed.
I would generally consider an LED 'driver' to be of the constant current type power supply for running series strings of LEDs, not suitable for you application.
Use halogen lamps or swap the fitting. You certainly can't wire it direct to the mains, the construction of the fitting is not designed for that to be carried out safely. You may be able to swap the transformer for an LED compatible one there are a few suppliers of round led power supplies...
As above, your 'transformer' label states 10-60Watts the 5W LED lamps are below the minimum rating and it is likely then shutting down. Even with a higher load there is no guarantee that the LEDs will work with the old halogen supply as the output is a rough high frequency AC. We wouldn't even...
They are used extensively inside other luminaires. All the UVC 'filters' I've ever worked on / installed have all had moulded connectors, most have some sort of splash proof rating. All the recent ones have been single connector using the lamps with all 4 pins at one end.
First day back to work in 2024 and it's started already. Thank goodness this is all being demolished.
Junction box as found, lid missing, metal box not earthed, neutrals from multiple lighting circuits mixed up, wiring extended via front of box. flexible conduit poked into female adaptors...
There have been several reports of Hager RCCBs detonating when the test button is pushed which then blows the cutout fuse, it also happened to me a few years back, really loud.
This is why experienced engineers should be making the regulations not brain dead office staff. Surely a separate isolator in an enclosure and the extra time required to fit it would add up to more than £6?!
