    New MFT Required....but which one?

    So the screen on my trusty MFT1552 has died....probably time to replace it anyway...Looking at the new Megger MFT17xx series, but interested to hear any thoughts on alternatives!     It was that close to the wall that the 'brick or something' encountered was likely the brick spread foundation. Try that on a new house and you'd simply strike concrete and go no further!

    SWA Glands : Poor Fit

    Just an observation. Glands I get are from same manf. Cw's have the smooth cone and slip ring plus nut, bw's the knurled cone and just a nut. Cw's more accomodating, in my opinion.

    Sounds like the existing room stat is still calling for heat and heating the 2 rads without evohome valves. Evohome working correctly does have boiler interlock via the rad valves and relay box.     I was always under the impression that if you individually test L to E, and N to E, without joining them together, you basically do the same test, just without the hassle of having to use piggyback leads or disconnect stuff?

    Ah...the plot thickens! Is there a source electrode for the genny? Presumably it's a pole mount tx, and overhead supply to somewhere relatively close to the barn, final connection maybe underground to cutout if a recent conversion?
