    Am I being over picky or is this just rough?

    Got a call from a mate today. All power out. Seems cutout fuse blown, they just had a new hot tub put in. Opened meter box to find this. I think it's complete arse on many levels, but DNO chap came out and replaced fuse without any whinging. I was quite surprised, but I guess it's a Sunday!

    A mate of mine came home to find the toaster smouldering outside the back door. Apparently his housemate had lost his lighter and was trying the old paper on the element trick to get a light! Things escalated rapidly and the flaming toaster was chucked out the door!

    That's even worse!! I own a multitool, bit it's one of those bits of kit that are definitely in the 'emergency, nothing else can do it' category! Very very useful, occasionly! I hate the racket so much I try not to use it! Been on jobs where they don't stop all day, sends me nuts!

    255V measured instead of 240V

    Because they don't like paying for your expensive electricity! Or maybe it's summer and load on network is lower than average so voltage has risen slightly as a consequence.

    Before and after, and yes, I know a couple of the conduits down to light switch and socket aren't plumb, but I used the old PVC trunk as a template....won't do that again, winds me up everytime I look at it!

    Yes cheers, confirmed my fears...had problems before just drilling for plugs hence wondering about the nailer. Trouble is that you can't really do a 'test'....if it goes wrong you're goosed!

    I think that is probably the worst effort I've ever seen!! In the age of youtube I can't understand how its possible to get it so incredibly wrong! If that work was paid for then this surely has to be one for Building Control to actually pursue and take action?
