    BS 1363 socket circuit

There is a reg I read earlier about water immersed heating elements, but thought it was more concerned with the bigger ones, the tea urns have a plug top on afterall. There would be no overloads if correct ocpd used; but I see your point better 2 or more circuits. Don't MK sockets take x2 6mm??

    BS 1363 socket circuit

Was waiting for why. Basically there is 5 plug in appliances (totalling 9.3 KW including tea urns, coffee machines, fridge, 2x kettles which a vicar needs to be on simultaneously, once in a while. One circuit would be easier to run than two.

    BS 1363 socket circuit

Does anyone know if its acceptable to have the ocpd of a radial circuit serving only single sockets higher than 32A ? 2 x 6mm would be the most a socket could take so probably 40A OCPD (singles in trunking).

    Outside lights with manual override

Timeguard LED PRO range have a remote fob (with battery) that overrides the PIR, it can be wired into a switch aswell. Needs to be a 1g switch thou or it has interference issues ! Saves having to run a separate live feed for manual override.

Where are you getting your metal buckle clips

Good point Andy, can I ask where you would consider installing metal buckle clips or similar in domestic ? Other than clipped direct at high level in a loft; or along a hall, or over a door (which would likely be in trunking anyhow, utilising metal u-clips), I cant think of any other scenarios.

Where are you getting your metal buckle clips

How about a 5m run along a single joist (without going through the joist itself) in a loft with lathe ceiling below, what about that !

Where are you getting your metal buckle clips

Wheres the best value for £ metal buckle clips to be found in 2019, ive seen the SAREN ones but they are well pricey, and you need to buy the nails for them separately. The Shneider metal clips from screwfix £12 per 100 wtf. Where are the compliant housebashers getting clips for T&E nowdays ??

Way I see it is record the highest value for whatever the RCD is being used for, I.e additional protection (x5), or fault protection(x1), or fire protection

    Further Training.........

The mature candidate scheme is an NVQ3 and you need the AM2 as well to cover some units. Its worth doing, ive got 2 remaining units and the AM2 to complete, taken me so far about 12 months and Ive not been at it full time either; its not so difficult once you get into the swing of it.

electrical installation on a floating dwelling

I would recommend hooking up a sacrificial (galvanic) annode to the hull if its steel and submerged, it prevents the hull from rusting. Its like the same principle as derusting stuff with electrolysis. Alot of boats in the water with electric running through can make the water more corrosive...

Manual switching to over ride PIR Flood

They also do a PIR with fob that fits directly onto the flood, they not a bad range and can configure how you need. Just read that you already have a three core and E, so in that case might not need the rf fob option

    Fluke T110 continuity sounds

Can someone tell me what the audible continuity sound a T110 makes ? I recently bought one and sent it to the Netherlands for the recall; a replacement was issued but the continuity sound is more like a warble than a continuous tone, which im sure the original had. Anyone know ??
