Hi everyone, long term visitor to the forum but first time posting a question... be gentle
This question is with regards to the changes to the 18th edition certificates, which only require one disconnection time recorded.
When recording the highest value taken when carry out RCD tests, Reg 415.1.1 requires disconnection times of 40ms when tested at a current equal to or higher than 5x its rated residual operation current.
What has become of the disconnection time of for example BSEN61008 RCD's at 30 mA which would of be acceptable up to 300ms. Is this not the case now?
Ps sorry if this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.
Thanks in advanced
