Problem I had with electric boiler

Thanks, although Gosport is a PITA to get to. Best part of an hour, even at quiet times of the day.

    Off-grid solar system

I would say that 10mm² cable is barely big enough for a 24V inverter running at 1kW. As SparkyChick says, the connections for these sorts of currents need to be well made to avoid problems. If the battery terminal is being damaged, you might bring all the battery outputs into one separate...

Advice for out-of-ordinary battery charging setup

I don't know. Personally, I'd use a conventional setup with the alternator supplying the start battery and the DC-DC converter between the two. If you really need this unconventional setup, then try one converter and battery first. If that works (which I doubt) add the second ones. If the...

    lead sheathed cable repairable

Nope. Just thought it was obvious that I wouldn't be expecting a cable of that type or size to be one that the plasterers chopped through. :)

Indeed. But you know as well as I, that doesn't stop us putting up a peripherally related video.

Advice for out-of-ordinary battery charging setup

I'm not an expert, but I'd be surprised if a car alternator will work properly if directly supplying only two DC-DC converters without at least a small capacity battery connected to the output. I would expect the system to be unstable. Do let us know how you get on.

    Washing Machine broken wire.

Hmm. Looks like you might have to dismantle the connector body if you want to access the contacts. Likely to be some sort of snap fit to prise open. I also think that they may be IDCs, insulation displacement contacts, similar to Krone or Scotchlok. If you're not confident, then replacing the...

Does this work need a certificate?

Surely, in this context, 'also' is superfluous?

Does this work need a certificate?

Indeed. Seeing as I've borrowed Parsley's pic, I should really have mentioned Sage the owl.

Yes, I wondered whether there was bottled gas for the hob.

Do you have Personal accident cover? Just for those self employed.

I agree that it's a personal decision. I do, for example, have buildings and contents cover. It's reasonably priced and covers the event of the house burning to the ground. I don't, however, add accidental cover for contents, as I don't regard it as good value.

    Dewalt wall dog screw fixings

You may have to try a few pilot hole sizes, depending on the wall material. Not used them a lot, but seem pretty good.

What's the 13A supply for the hob? Is is gas (with electric ignition)?

Do you have Personal accident cover? Just for those self employed.

I don't have personal accident cover (or critical illness or income protection). One alternative is to 'insure yourself'. Set aside the amount you would have paid in insurance premiums, possibly in a separate account. Overall, the insurers have to make a profit after paying out claims...
