Is it just me or does that brown cable from the isolator load side look heat distressed?
Also not only is a 3ph meter larger it will also need the space to install a 4 pole isolator.
Apart from that it’s a total mess.
Meter tails not harmonised either with blue/brown from the cut out to the meter then greys to the DPI, smart meter too so done fairly recently.
So what’s the course instruction for fitting KMFs...be careful tightening the cover screws as they have a tendency to crack the cover...if this does...
Good point, I fit a fair few in a week for a MOP, job comes down as fit isolator as customer having new consumer unit fitted and as far as I know the customer is not charged for it.
Cut out to meter tails get upgraded to 25mm2 as standard provided the cut out terminals will accept them, load tails get left as they are if they are 16mm2 minimum or if below 16mm2 an isolator is fitted and the customer issued a warning notice recommending they contact a qualified electrician.
Doesn’t happen, not on my watch anyway, anything below 60A gets reported to the DNO, 60A rewirables get replaced with 63A, all others are left as found.New connections get an 80A left by the DNO.
