Do DIN blocks need to be coloured?

There is a significant price difference between the standard grey wago topjob DIN connector blocks and the blue and green. Is there any reg prohibiting me from using all grey blocks for L, N and E given the cables entering them will be clearly identified?

Pendant backbox - what's going on?

Ahhh ffs, I think you are right. Well, this job is about to get interesting. The reason the light came down in the first place is because the LED was flickering whilst the switch was off, suggesting some leakage going on. Now I've got this in the mix.

Pendant backbox - what's going on?

Can anyone please shed some light on what this is/what is going on here? This old apartment is wired in conduit, which is also the earth provision. In the bathroom, this metal 'thing' is screwed into the side of the pendant backbox. Out comes a fly-lead also connected to the pendant backbox...

Dangerous DNO Head - Lucy Oxford

So the head was changed today and they let me keep it. There were no fuses inside, just linked directly, which surprised the engineers. If you want to DM me an address, I'll get a price to send it to you.

Dangerous DNO Head - Lucy Oxford

Just a FYI. I called out UKPN this week to request a supply head inspection before a complete upgrade of their domestic installation. It turns out that following a nasty incident with one of these Lucy Oxford supply heads, UKPN will no longer even open them. Instead, UKPN is going to dig up the...

LED ceiling lights - I'm baffled

So this is the issue, the customer has no idea where the transformer is. The lights are these small 40mm LED spots, so a good chance they could be DC.

LED ceiling lights - I'm baffled

The customer has five small LED ceiling lights in their bathroom. Some of the lights stopped working. A previous electrician came and 'did some work' but could not resolve the matter. I've taken a look, and three lights have been removed. I assume these were the broken ones, and he took them to...

TNC-S Supply but combined again at DB?

Unfortunatly I don't have a photo with the trunking off but this is what was going on: The MICC is terminated onto metal trunking via a gland. The trunking then had a bolt going through it with a 16mm2 earth fly lead into the consumer unit and another into the henley block containing the...

TNC-S Supply but combined again at DB?

I'm going with no. The 3 phase supply head goes into a ryefield board where it is then split into 60a fuses that feed each flat. See photo below.
