    did you believe this ......??????

Yup if you take in the sound the setup emits. the air its moving around the heat it generates a lot of energy is being wasted so more needs to be put in than is taken out at the 13A socket.

Can't see why more folks aren't aware of things like that. Too little care nowadays.

    Speeding ticket for van

Pretty sure a condition of being issued a driving license is that you regularly update your knowledge of the highway code. So the excuse that somebody wasn't aware falls foul of that general requirement. Always worth picking up a current HWC and giving it a read through. A lot is changing in all...

    Is an Isolation Switch Required

I've had the DNO fit an isolator for me (supplied by me) if you can find a reason to have them on site. So a DNO fuse upgrade or new tails and they are there just ask them.

    Heater temperature stopping

You can't heat to a specified temperature without a thermostat. (well not quite true you can heat to 100 degrees C as the water just boils off at that) If you know the starting temperature of the water, the heat loss from the vessel you could approximate the right temp with a timer but that's...

1 ring main for whole house

My house had that. Not easy to split the ring so I just added new RFC for extended areas. The kitchen has its own RFC that includes the utility room. An extension got its own RFC and so forth.

    Water Tank Heater Temperature Control

Can't see it has any thermostatic control built in? doesn't mention it in the link. So maybe 80c is what it just reaches before the losses match the input. You could use a thermostatic switch to control the feed to the heater but you'd need to make sure the thermocouple was suitable for the...

HDMI & 4K Help (Office Install)

That's my "day job" working in TV and film and a lot of that is teaching technology courses and I can tell you that the Hobbit was a dividing film. Many older viewers that grew up with film at 24fps (not an ideal frame rate for smooth motion) didn't like the Hobbit. they claim it looked "too...

I've done long runs for cooker hoods before and added a second extractor fan at the far end powered from the first fan.

    Another disgusting terror attack

Because if terrorism is your aim then London will get more press and therefore fulfil your objective.

    Another disgusting terror attack

If that's against the law then arrest and charge them for that and let the court decide. Not against the law? Which it isn't yet. Then put a law in place. That's when it gets tricky. What do you determine as a terrorist organisation? Maybe one like the DUP that our Government is about to get...

    charging multiple electrical devices

There are appliances designed to be used in "wet" spaces. But as regs generally don't allow that few UK suppliers will offer such machines. USB in a bathroom isn't great as the sockets don't perform well in the wet.

    Another disgusting terror attack

Who decides a terrorist on a list should have no legal rights? Who makes those lists? What evidence is needed to join a list? By writing this do I join a list and face potential stripping of my civil rights and citizenship? We have a judicial system and it has to be used. Its convenient to...
