A) It was rewired by DIY dave, never had certs and the work not notified to building control. Lady missplaced the cert ;)
B) Was installed correctly and she missplaced the cert, if it has a metal consumer unit then its pretty recent. Any stickers on the Unit to indicate who installed? Get in...
As above, probably 50-60 quid. Would you feel safer for kids etc having known it was done correctly and ensured the relevant fault protection was in place
If the buyer of the house has had a survey done by their electrician and rated it satisfactory just leave it. Its their problem now?
Im assuming the new electrician has fitted a replacement RCD and tested / issued paperwork for the job?
I would call in a spark, is that a ring circuit or radial? If its a radial then the 32A on a 2.5 radial is poop
If its a ring then its possible to do it, however you need to see the circuit and instalation method first before casting a decision.
Common sense would suggest if there's no isolation at the boiler then the isolation is with the valve controls up in the airing cupboard
Surely any spark would check this and prove dead?
