    Weird?! Neutral-earth fault

I certainly don't disagree with your logic, but it doesn't seem to be done this way.

    Weird?! Neutral-earth fault

The RCD must not be shared with other circuits. If RCD protection is required then it still must be fitted.

What pets do you have, and what pets have you had?

Funny you should ask. A stray turned up for a few days and he was to become Izzy Stradlin, but alas he didn't stay. Also missing a Duff McKagan and of course a Steven Adler.

What pets do you have, and what pets have you had?

My little W. Axl Rose the cat bites my hand and nose when he's hungry. My little Slash the cat pokes me on the back of the neck or back with his fingernail when he wants attention in the middle of the night.

    Ze - zs = r1 + r2?

Could I ask if you could help explain the comments re a Domestic ElCR report that has come back unsatisfactory please

No, but in fairness if there is a perceived greater risk then the assessment of it might be different. Not sure that I'd agree in the circumstances outlined though.

size of earth on 16mm mains tails

If selected (as opposed to calculated) then 16mm^2 is required. As I stated, 16mm^2 is the norm.

size of earth on 16mm mains tails

If you are referring to the typical UK insulated and sheathed singles used as meter tails these don't include a protective conductor in the cable. The norm would be to run a 16mm^2 Earthing conductor alongside.

How do I tell if my bathroom has supplementary bonding?

Plumbers won't be writing the report though....

How do I tell if my bathroom has supplementary bonding?

As above, restrictions on height may well be reasonable (where agreed with the person ordering the work beforehand). However 2m does seem to be an extremely low height restriction.

    RCD Tripping times question

Just to be pedantic I would suggest that we don't record the 5* test anymore, but aren't precluded from carrying it out. Although if it doesn't disconnect within 40mS @ 5 I delta n this may not necessarily be a failure.

UK Selectivity : What does it mean specifically, especially in relation to EV chargers

And it must interrupt all live conductors, including the neutral conductor.

    First electrical inspection

They will check your Test Record Sheet against tests which they will have you perform in front of the Inspector. There's a fair chance you'll be asked to problem a whole installation insulation resistance test as part of this. Obviously in terms of inspection they will ensure that none of the...

HELP! commercial socket with type D rated fuse

Many commando sockets have DIN rail for an RCCB (assuming installation method permits of course).

    Electric Vehicles Charge

You should still wire 1 say as L1-L2-L3, the next as L2-L3-L1 and the third as L3-L1-L2 as otherwise any onboard charger only capable of single phase will pull off L1 on each charge point.

EV Charge Point with Usage Data for Billing Employer

I had thought of that (though it would have to be a MID meter presumably), but he seemed to be interested in some sort of automatic report from an app or whatever that he could e-mail through. The likes of Zappi will obviously display consumption when in use, but not sure whether reports over a...
