    I watched that earlier today. If this device did trip and has detected a arc fault how you go about finding it say if it is on a socket circuit would you just have to take every socket off till you find the loose wire

    People have different opinions about what you can and can not do, if you beleave you are right then argue your case with him, tell him to tell you exactly what he thinks is wrong with it and see if you agree if not tell him. Fyi i think it is fine on tray.

    I didnt know that but i suppose it does make sence my house is only 2 years old and a programmable stat in the bedroom and the hallway. But no there is definitely only one stat in the propertys on the site but the rads do have thermostatic valves on them as ive seen them in some of the houses.

    It says on the mcb B40 so it is a 40A mcb and if it is actually 6mm and not 10mm then i hope it is not in insulation and is actually in free air or clipped direct as its called as any method other than clipped direct the current carrying capacity is to low for the MCB and too high for a 8.5kw...

    It will more than likely be a 32A mcb but im not sure is there not any markings or labels on your consumer unit saying shower as the ine above it will say the size on it, and if the cable is covered by insulation then i would say it is defiantly not sutable for a bigger size shower, i wouldnt...

    I thought the metal boards where not to contain it but to stop the board from melting and causeing more problems like dripping plastic onto the carpet and setting that on fire.

    Was the plug a proper one that comformed to the regs as it could be that the plug had too long live pins and actually knocked something inside that would not normally be knocked.

    In simple words "if you want it you can have it" I would definatly say its fine i have dobe it a few times as it is ob the spec for the new install and it have never been pulled by any one. Tell your spark you want it if not get another electrician to do it.

    Never done it with chips but i have took a nice extra large haddock down the chippy and asked them to cook it for me and put it with a bag of chips it was too big to fit in any cooker i had. I got the fish of my brother who works at a fish factory and it was massive.
