    Zs reading with main earth disconnected

    Bonding not connected, it goes direct into Henley block. Main earth comes from henley block but is disconnected.

    Morning, just checking a lighting circuit on a house, I have the main earth disconnected and still get a zs reading of 2.2 ohms. No evidence of an earth spike and bonding goes direct to henley block. Any suggestions why this could happen??

    Not mounted on a wooden block, there are 4 of them sunk into the wall with a bakelite faceplate covering them ( a 4 gang switch)

    Evening All Just quoting for a re-wire and the customer has asked if he can keep his original bakelite switches, not sure about this but guessing he can't as they don't conform to current BSEN. Can anyone point me the right direction?? Cheers in advance

    Firstly no Ghostbusters jokes!! Was called out to a job yesterday where a light fitting had been 'buzzing', upon inspecting it I saw the terminals and cable were covered with a 'green slime'.     I'm just wondering if anyone knows of a product that can switch between 8kw loads? The customer I have (a Deli) wants to add a 8kw pizza oven but only has a single phase supply and is already at capacity at 80 amps. He has a industrial size oven and chicken rotisserie which totals around 8kw...

    NIC said that it has to be an EIC beca Sorry been away all weekend so couldn't reply.. NIC said that it has to be an EIC because "I have introduced a new MCB to the circuit and the details of this need recording".
