I think there will always be a market for solar, and the repair and maintenance side of life. The amount of solar farms being installed right now along the M1 & A1 is staggering, i spend a lot of my time traveling the country and its amazing to see how fast they get installed also.
I've run VW transporters for the last 8 years and loved the 140ps, this time around I went for the 180 Bi-Tdi but feel a bit let down, drinks fuel and it's not that much quicker than the 140. Pulls up hills like it's on the flat but you soon get bored of that.
Don't know enough on this subject but be careful with the PV, think most voltage stabilisers can't handle pv, check in solar forum for more clarification.
Depending on the contactors location use "AC/DC rectified coil for silent operation" otherwise you'll have moaning customers about the noise at night. such as these 20 Amp 2 Pole Contactor - 1 Module
Have you checked your meter matches up with your bill, some suppliers bill you in m3 but the meter reads otherwise and therefore you get a high bill
