Help find a part for an old sauna heater

I think it is a 125 deg safety thermostat and I think,it is the capillary tube you have inadvertently broken off. I doubt you will find an exact replacement but this one is pretty close. https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/thermostatic-switches/6841208/

Joining a cable to be buried in a wall

Big Clive on YouTube tested these recently and as I recall was not too impressed with the results. The solder does not seem to flow into the connection too well. Think they are ok for low current applications, but that’s about all.

    3 phase gen set neutral/earth

If the generator is ok to run, why don’t you run it and measure the voltage between a phase and the earth connection to see if it is a combined neutral earth? If you don’t get a voltage reading you will know that the star point of the winding is floating.

    Generator switch wiring help

Installing an earth rod is essential when installing any type of generator on a TN-S supply. This is both for your safety and the poor DNO engineer that may be working on the cable feeding your property.

    Am I missing something

Switching the neutral is very bad practice as any earth fault on the wiring after the stop button means the contactor will not de-energise when the stop button is pressed and no fuse will blow as it would be a neutral earth fault.

What do I Set the overload to on a soft start

The setting of soft start unit all depends on how it has been wired and from your photo I can’t tell. Is the soft start wired as a direct on line, I.e 3 wires to the motor or is it inside a delta loop - 6 wires to the motor? If it is 3 wires, you set it to the current rating of the motor plate...

    Japanese 3 Phase Wiring

You will also need to check to ensure the equipment you have taken delivery of is suitable for use on our 50hz supply. Japan does not have a standardised frequency some areas are 50hz, others are 60hz.

    Hot SWA gland

Why do people find it so hard to read a post properly and instead seem to take a guess at what has been written? The OP clearly states: There is 3 trefols running in parallel

    Hot SWA gland

I would be interested to see a photo of this and the type of cable being used. What sort of current is being drawn to warrant 11Kv cables to be installed in parallel, I have never seen this done. Are you sure they are in parallel and not part of a ring or a tee’d radial feed? I have my doubts...
