    what about when you spur of the ring to an additional point as allowed. that 2.5mm is also under rated for the 32A MCB.

    I agree with what you are saying Dave, its for sure bad practice but from a technical point of view that 1,5mm supply to fused spur is inaccessible so no chance of to many amps being pulled through it.

    Got the remedial's Tel, have turned off all other circuits so not picking up any impedance Murdoch other than on its own circuit, which would surely mean that if you run in a new lighting circuit and don't connect the earth to the met then you would get voltage on the earth.
