Re: Is it safe to leave a convector heater, auto overheating cut-out, on 24/7 unatten
I wish i could say the same ... haha, only joking. I float around on here now, business is going well (touch wood) so have less time for the forums than i have in previous years. Hope work's going well & a...
Re: Is it safe to leave a convector heater, auto overheating cut-out, on 24/7 unatten
You could use a plug in programme timer as a last resort... set the timer to a few hours a day/night. Still not ideal, I'm kind of with Mike on this one - i wouldn't like a fan heater on whilst I'm not there...
NVQ Level 3 is part of what is needed to be graded as an approved electrician by the JIB. The others are 17th edition, 2394 and 2395.
I'm not sure what you mean by 'part-p is part of the NVQ3' - the NVQ3 is a work based project to demonstrate your ability to work, alongside your knowledge and...
Don't waste your money on this course, complete waste of time and the course providers that sell it need to actually understand what part-p is then realise what a laughing stock the course is.
From the JIB's point of view they're exactly the same...i have c+g 2394 and 2395 and i was working not so long ago with a sparks who had the EAL - we got talking compared our gold jib cards and they're both worded exactly the same on the back.
Hi Abonadi.
Despite some of the comments you're likely to receive on here, the EAL and C+G are thought of exactly the same by the JIB. Some employers might question the EAL over C+G (the exams are easier being open book) but thats the employers choice. According to the industry they're both the...
Congratulations, NVQ3 is the holy grail these days. I'm guessing you'll be able to apply for the gold card now (providing you have the other quals needed)
Welcome to the real sparky world!
Wonder if you had the same assessor as me.
I've had elecsa and napit assessments, and not sure whether it was just down to him 'having a feel for me' (keep it clean lads) but the elecsa assessments were more taxing, hardly had any questions to answer with Napit. Had a talk about this that and...
I can confirm (comparing my gold card to a friends) that the EAL and C+G 2394 and 2395 are marked exactly the same on the JIB/ECS card so you can't tell which spark has which.
That's what i mean tel, its the OP's cock up ... i for one wouldn't want fancy dance wireless switches with remotes that would get lost (i literally lose the TV remote in my gaff on average every 10minutes lol)
The OP fk'd up with the design, he needs to install it properly then either have his...
Sorry Flanders buddy, but i don't agree with you here. He can't go selling his customers new products, that they didn't need (originally) or want because he's cocked up on the design process.
The customer has every right to take further action on him.
I hope you have public indemnity insurance.
Do not go cowboying because you've designed the install incorrectly. Front up, explain the error, destroy the plaster, and re-wire it properly.
Then, let it be a lesson for future works. Not trying to sound aggressive with you here, just saying it...
I'm one of the radial brigade so that part of the comment i'd give a like to. But, why 20A radials? 4mm 32A Radial is the way forward. As opposed to 2 20A radials.
