On the assumption that the cables in the wall either >50mm or RCD protected. But surely by the rule of nature and evolution, hanging a picture directly above socket / switch before 16th would have helped in the evolution of the human race. Or am I being sinical?
Generally speaking most false ceilings are not fire rated, ie metal fixings required. Cables should be adequately supported throughout length.....
