Not sure I understand you when you say about only using 1 phase. I see two 3 phase boards in the photo's, what are they feeding?
The time clock looks to be a DNO off-peak time clock, do they have storage heaters. I see what looks like a contactor so again, storage heaters? Also not sure about...

I would change the twin socket for a switched fused spur then everything is protected. Probably some stupid reg that says you can't!
Trouble is, most of the regs concerning spurring off the ring go back 40 years when people didn't have gas central heating and they were afraid that a 2 or 3 KW...
Probably because in two tears time when it goes wrong they won't make that model anymore and you will not be able to match it so have to change the lot!
I agree to a point but there are plenty of other scam operators out there, are they saying we absolutely need it? I presume you don't like the NICEIC?:)
Just had my NICEIC inspection and said I haven't done the course yet and do I need it.
He said no hurry, sometime this year will do. Worth doing in case one of your customers ask if you have got it.
Now it all seemed a bit vague as if they do not know if we must have it.
What are your feelings?
I use Hollycroft software certs and they do a
MINOR ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
MULTIPLE WORKS CERTIFICATE
This gives up to 6 different minor works on 1 certificate, quite handy at times but the results sheet is the same as an EIC so a bit more to fill in.
