Ok, I will try 100V, I know it is not the main issue there is no ring trip there is a problem with the line card at the exchange, but untill all faults are cleared on the extension wiring i can't progress the fault. Bt openreach sent out a 18 year old "telephone engineer" who replaced the master...
Hi,
Any suggestions where to hire a 50V megger, I have a telephone installation where the BT fault checker is reporting low resistance and a standard multimeter can't do the job.
Thanks
Ah, if it is a double pole switch and it closes live first then the whole lot will be at 230V above earth and the surge protector will then provide a path live to earth. Also the transformer will take a while to settle down and could provide some interesting spikes.
Hi,
Daft question how do I get to see the fault codes?
In your case check the length of the sub main from the inverter to the cut out, it will only cause the votlage at the inverter to be even higher.
Hi,
This is a 10 year old 10 panel installation, recently output has been droping and somtines reaching zero mid afternoon. I think it is a sunnyboy inverter. Does it look like a panel, inverter or high mains volts? Could I have names of installers in West Yorkshire who may be able to help.
Thanks
I am looking to replace an existing surface flourcesent fitting 4 x 36W ft tubes with an external dimentsion of 1250mm by 625mm or nearest offer.
Thanks
UVC is nasty, you do need two seperate safety switches to cover for a number of safe under single fault conditions. Can't you just buy a unit ready built?
Something is amiss at the Science Museum London, lots of the building have a varity of hired in battery LED lighting and the rest is closed due to urgent maintance... Sounds like they are needing a electrician or two and I suspect they are on a central battery installation.
Ok,
You should hear a clunk from

Hi,
Go and find the required BS or EN standard and design to it. For comparison BS EN60950 (computers and domestic electronics) requires something like a 25A 60 second test on the earth bond for type testing.
Ok, we are now starting to get somewhere please do the following.
Take another photo of the fuse box /consumer unit, this time so we can read all the labels (stand on a step ladder) I would expect to find two fuse boxes / consumer units please look carefuly for another one.
