    If the crimp has been done right then it will be by deffiition gas tight and there will be no room for any solder!

    There is also the issue where if a wire is tinned then it will make any screw terminal fail over time as the solder cold flows under the screw pressure.

    Yes the firing pin hits the trip trigger for the contacts in the ring main unit so the other phases are also disconnected.

    You must use the manfacturer's stat when replaceing, it has at least two levels of protection. If all the protection electrical and mechanical fails the cyliner could explode and then you have 1/4 ton of steam at say 10 bar, this could demolish the house.

    Get the wiring diagram for the boiler, identify the pump on the diagram for the boiler, connect A1 A2 where the pump is shown the on the wiring diagram for the boiler. Connect the rest as stated above

    Slightly the connections are correct the discription is in error. What you have is an electricly controlled switch. When power is put onto terminals A1 A2 this causes a coil of wire inside to become a big magnet and thus the insides of the switch move. If A1 A2 were a CONTACT and not a COIL then...

    Ah, the clue is Induction hob. Often these have a lot of filter capacitiance L to E and N to E that can cause transient trips. Check the installation with a 500V megger to see if there are any other issues, and you might want to move the hob to it's own RCBO
